The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I experienced behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The State of the Venue : Squalid and Neglected Beyond Belief
From the moment I walked in , it was apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at this establishment . The floorboards were filthy, and a overpowering stench of old alcohol and filthy restrooms suffused the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. His presence at the bar often felt more like that of a lurking threat than a genial proprietor .
